Our Story

Many are probably wondering why our company name is called Phoenix Rising Exteriors. The name represents a symbol of hope, life and of better things to come, born from the knowledge and experience of difficult times and challenging circumstances that many of us go through in this journey called life. We here at Phoenix have collectively been able to cultivate the knowledge and necessary skill sets to properly navigate the exterior construction industry and provide the utmost quality of work to adhere to a standard that is above many.

The owner (Owen) of Phoenix Rising Exteriors are customer satisfaction driven in the way they communicate with their customers and the people they hire and meet on a daily basis.

Offering ways that could make others lives easier when dealing with a contracting company. Offering financing options, speaking to home insurance agents on the customers behalf, reviewing sometimes confusing verbiage on insurance claims, collecting all necessary information and basically doing what needs to be done on the fore front of any job that needs completed.

Owen Kilbane

Owen started his way into construction in his teens as a roofing laborer and has taken those skill sets with him since. Owen is a decorated Marine combat veteran that served overseas in Operation Enduring Freedom and after his service he became a deputy for Mahoning County and later transitioning to Summit County Sheriffs Office where he served for a number of years. Serving has been embedded in his very existence since he was young. During his tenure in the roofing industry, Owen has wore many hats (so to speak) from being a project manager for roofing crews, to being a leading salesman in the local industry. Communicating with a multitude of people including homeowners, insurance agents, crew workers, employees, roofing supply companies, etc. Mastering these skill sets were a big proponent in his decision to start an exterior construction company. Keeping up with the technologies of the future is also an ever-driving factor in keeping up with the career field he is working in and ensures the consumer that this is a company that invests in the future. Paying attention to detail are things that kept himself and others alive and are the very trademarks he as a exterior contractor employs in his everyday life and it doesn’t stop, especially when a job project is in full force.

Matt Wallace

Production Manager

Matt has over 13 years of experience in the roofing industry, specializing in restoration. He is certified in Xactimate and is a certified adjuster. Matt is an integral part of our team focusing on creating estimates, scheduling, ordering materials, and crew management. He currently lives in Akron with his wife Laura, their 4 children , 3 dogs and a cat.
